Yuri Tremler was born in the Ukraine in 1961 and went to art and design schhol in Russia and Germany. In 1996 he emigrated to Israel where he began working as a jewlry designer and eventually began to focus exclusively on oil painting.
His subject range from Abstract to expressionistic figurtative pieces like you see here. Although his cafe and bar scenes are painted with a pallete knife, his figures maintain a soft edge and the canvas has smooth, flowing composition.
The combination of color and form, give his paintings a relaxed elegance that has made him very succesful both in Israel and in the US.
