Ruth Schloss

Born 1922  Nuremberg, Germany.

Immigrated 1937. Studies: 1938-41 Bezalel, Jerusalem, with Mordecai Ardon; 1946 painting course for Kibbutz Artzi artists with Yochanan Simon and Marcel Janco; 1949-51 Grande Chaumiere, Paris. 1947-49. Illustrator for Mishmar Leyeladim and childrens books of Sifriat Hapoalim. 1942 Joined Kibbutz Merhavia; later moved to Kibbutz Lehavot Habashan, lived there until 1953. Her works are in the collections of Israel Museum, Jerusaelm; Tel Aviv Museum; Haifa Museum of Modern Art; Herzlia Museum. Lives in Kfar Shmaryahu, Israel.
